CARQUEST Technologies, LLC, Raleigh, NC, 9/2006 - 12/2008
  • Developed an enhanced catalog for the Point of Sale application (Exploris)
    • Application was written in VB6.
    • Application utilized MySQL as it’s back end.
    • Application utilized XML via HTTP to transport data.
  • Added functionality to existing "Profit Tool" (discount and rebate tracker).
    • Application was written in VB.Net 2005 Express.
    • Application utilized MySQL as it’s back end.
  • "Crystalized" existing reports.
    • Converted existing reports in a proprietary format to Crystal Reports.
    • Modified report queries so they would be better understood by Crystal Reports.
    • Reports were created using Crystal Reports 11.
  • Ported Sales Data to QuickBooks.
    • Converted data from XML to an IIF file for import into Intuit QuickBooks.

  • Developed EPA reports.
    • Reports were required to be identical to existing EPA paper reports, including font metrics, and text and line positioning.
    • Reports required backend scripting for conditional formatting.
    • Back end to reports was SQL Server database.
    • Project was completed in half the budgeted schedule.
    • Reports were created using Crystal Reports 8.0.
