"Approach each new problem not with a view of finding what you hope will be there, but to get the truth, the realities that must be grappled with. You may not like what you find. In that case you are entitled to try to change it. But do not deceive yourself as to what you do find to be the facts of the situation."
Bernard M. Baruch
What's The Shape Of The World?
No one can really say for sure. However our known world is flat. Of course it's not completely flat, there are mountains and valleys, but it is generally flat as a pancake. It is, for the most part, circular with the North Pole at the center and the southern ice is located at the rim. The southern ice is a wall 150 feet high and no one is known to have crossed it to see what was on the other side. (For a reasonable image of the Earth, take a look at the emblem on the United Nations flag.)
The Sun, Moon and Stars
The sky is a large dome about 4,000 miles away. I cannot say whether the stars are bright objects attached to the dome, or pin holes in the dome allowing light from the other side to shine through. The Sun and Moon are about 32 miles in diameter and are attached to inner (clear) domes which move independently of the sky dome. The Moon shines by it's own light and is not eclipsed by the Earth but is occasionally eclipsed by an unseen "dark body."
"If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things."
Rene Descartes
